In 1990, Greg James founded Countertop Video, focusing on the distribution of VHS video cassettes. In 1994, Countertop expanded into publishing and found success with the Learn Country Line Dancing series, selling more than 2 million copies. Countertop changed its name to TOPICS Entertainment in 2000 to better represent its expanding publishing business. Today, Topics has sales of more than 30 million units and is headquartered in a state-of-the-art facility near Seattle, Washington.
